Committee Meeting

Committee

At a Committee meeting held on Thursday May 3rd, the following major projects were discussed.

Bore Hole
Project Manager Wayne Arnett has received a quote from a well drilling company of £10,200 plus VAT, with a lifetime guarantee.  They are happy to wait until we want to do it. (Previous quote was £15,000). This would come with a 1 horsepower pump which would fill an IBC in an hour and a half. An application to the Big Lottery will be necessary.

Drainage
This work needs to be done when the field is at its driest, i.e. summer.  It is impossible to cost because of access issues – will need to use narrow gauge equipment so as not to damage plots. It is estimated that work will take two or three days to complete.

Toilet
This has been locked as there is definitely a plumbing fault. (soak-away not working).  This now needs fixing or returning. Derek to contact the company.

Ride-on mower
Currently in need of repair due to sheered bolt and will be repaired and put into service ASAP.

Any other business
Rubbish is accumulating and the hedgerow needs tidying. It was suggested we organise a skip via the Council.  This could be combined with having a Working Party (possible with barbecue). Date to be decided and plot holders to be informed via newsletter/blog.
