August’s Musings

Derek
The dog days of August are upon us and there’s not too much to be done in terms of planting but hopefully plenty of harvesting.

It’s at this time of the year that you can learn much towards next year’s planting as this year’s successes and failures only now become apparent.

Overall I think that the successes have so far outweighed the failures and it looks like being a very good year.

We have made great strides over the past 12 months and if we can get the bore hole drilled and the drains installed we can look forward to even better things next year.

Also looming on the horizon is the A.G.M. which will be held in October when you will get your chance to air your views and hand over your subscriptions.

Full details of date and time will appear in September issue of Follow the Plot.

Happy harvesting
