Book your tickets for this year’s Learning Day

You are advised to book now for the popular Leeds Allotments Federation’s Learning Day which is being held at Pudsey Civic Hall on the 16th March from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Joe Lofthouse of Harlow Carr, Compost John, Liz Bunting and David Allison will be giving interesting and informative talks, and you’ll also have the chance to have your allotment soil tested.

11.00 Workshops; 45 minutes each. You choose 2 of the following, and let us know which ones when you register so that we can timetable your workshops.

‘Composting’ with Composting John of the York Rotters,

‘Pests and Diseases’ by Joe Lofthouse from Harlow Carr or

‘Legal aspects of Allotment management’ by Liz Bunting from the National Allotment Association

12.50 Lunch break: lunch is provided free of charge but we need to know whether you have any special dietary requirements

1.45-2.45 ‘The Productive Allotment Month by Month’ by David Allison (Q&A to follow)

15.00 Closing remarks
