Pesticide User Habits Survey 2019

The Health and Safety Executive is running an online survey for UK residents from 1st to 31st May in order to understand the habits of gardeners and allotment holders in relation to purchase, storage, use and disposal of garden chemicals (amateur pesticide products to protect plants).

The survey is anonymous to encourage honest answers and get the clearest picture of what users actually do. A survey has been run every three years since 2007 and the findings are used to develop future guidance, policy and labelling on the safe use, storage and disposal of products for amateur gardeners.

Everyone completing the survey will be offered the chance to enter a prize draw to win one of ten £50 National Garden Gift Vouchers. The prize draw will be run independently by the Horticultural Trades Association, which issues the vouchers.

Reports of previous surveys can be found on HSE’s website at: www.hse.gov.uk/pesticides/user-areas/garden-home.htm

The web address will be live for the duration of the survey only at:-
