May’s Musings

Derek

I’m delighted to report that following an initial site survey by the contractors, work is due to commence on the drilling operation in June.

Even after the borehole is drilled there will still be much work to do to distribute the water around the site but the end is in sight now.

Thanks to everyone who gave up their time to attend the recent working weekend when we achieved a great deal including a general tidy up of the site.

Now that we have cleared all the rubbish from the allotment field please try to keep it tidy.

If you have any usable timber or materials that you think may be of interest to someone else please place it in the fenced off area near the loo.  This is not an open invitation to dump your rubbish there which you must take away and dispose of.

The other compartment in the fenced off area is for items that have been lost and found such as items blown to the bottom of the field after gales or just inadvertantly left around by absent minded colleagues such as your truly.

I’ll be undertaking the annual plot inspection in the coming weeks. We are not necessarily looking for immaculate plots but please try and make sure yours is tidy and is showing signs of recent activity.

Best wishes
Derek
