Fly tipping on Eccup Moor Road

Fly tipping

If you went up to your allotment last week you can’t have failed to notice the bags of rubbish tipped at the side of Eccup Moor Road.

The bags contained hydroponic fertilizer, possibly from a canabis farm, which could be seen spilling out onto the road.

Concerns were raised about the effects of the waste on the environment and local wildlife, as chemicals in fertilizers can be carried into the reservoir from rainfall, potentially harming fish and birds.

Thanks to L.C.C. for removing this rubbish within a few days.
