After several false starts, we are delighted to announce that work is finally about to get underway on the borehole project.
Contractors should commence work on Tuesday 23rd July with the work expected to be completed by the end of the week.
As part of the agreement we are committed to providing security for the equipment left on site overnight and we are looking for volunteer nightwatchmen who are prepared to give up a night’s sleep.
So far we have just three intrepid volunteers and could do with at least three more to provide adequate cover.
We are not asking for people to put themselves at risk or do a solo shift, so two people will be required each night.
Now there is no reason to believe that anything untoward is likely to disturb your sleep, but there is always a remote possibility that thieves may turn up and for that reason we are asking for male volunteers only.
The Police have been made aware that there will be people on site overnight so there shouldn’t be any raids made by the boys in blue.
Please don’t leave this to just three individuals and if you are interested in volunteering please contact ken@alwoodleygrowers.org.uk
