The actual drilling phase of the borehole project was finally successfully completed on Friday 26th July.
A viable supply of water was located less than thirty metres down and the shaft was then capped prior to the commencement of Phase 2.
This will see the installation of a generator and pump to pipe the water to a large header tank to be located at the top of the site.
Phase 3 will involve gravity feeding the water from the header tank to the various containers located around the site.
This won’t happen overnight and will involve quite a lot of work from all plotholders to install the pipework and container fittings.
Thanks to those members who gave up one or more night’s sleep to provide onsite security against vandalism or theft of the equipment.
It was a night that Derek won’t forget in a hurry as a lightning struck a metres away from his car and actually moved it a couple of feet!
