This is theft

During the recent mini-heatwave someone took the opportunity to water their plot using water stolen from another plotholder.

Not merely content with taking a couple of watering cans worth, the culprit actually emptied the whole water butt which was not of an insignificant size.

Commenting on the incident, Chairman Derek Hatton said ‘We cannot accept this kind of behaviour from anyone and whoever is responsible for this abominable act of theft should be evicted from the allotments with immediate effect and without the opportunity to appeal.’

The irony of this is that the containers situated around the site all contain water and one such container was located less than twenty metres from the emptied water butt.

Not just a thief but a lazy one to boot.
