Brilliant turn out for Horse Manure Day

dig 4 manure

Today Sunday 11th August the car park was full as members came to move horse manure from the Hope Pastures’ paddock in the field next door.

At least ten members took manure averaging four wheelbarrows each which meant 40+ loads were moved.

Some of the manure was very mature and well rotted, excellent to put directly in the ground or to earth up cabbages and Brussels sprouts.

A big thank you to Miriam who only moved manure to the communal heap to help those who could not come today. Don’t miss out next time.
