Dear Members,
We are going to start weekly working parties at Alwoodley Allotments, the first will be on Thursday, March the 5th, and every Thursday after that between 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.
We’ll be working on keeping communal areas and paths clear and also clearing overgrowth on vacant plots.
Members should try to attend the working parties if they can – the allotment society is run entirely on a voluntary basis and it is the working parties that keep the communal areas on-site trimmed and clear.
Please also note that your tenancy agreement does not require attendance, however, each working party lasts around two hours, bring your own coffee and refreshments, it’s always a good way to get to know your fellow plot holders as well.
If you can’t make a Thursday then the next weekend working party is on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of March.
