Plot inspections postponed

The next round of plot inspections planned for the end of March have been postponed until the waterlogging across the whole site improves sufficiently to allow plotholders to get their plots up to scratch.

The Committee felt it was unreasonable to expect the necessary improvements to be made when the ground is so unworkable.

Given the current health crisis, there are also likely to be restrictions put in place preventing free movement of over seventies and anyone testing positive for coronavirus, which will further exacerbate the situation.

We will keep members up to date with any developments affecting Alwoodley Allotments directly or indirectly.

Please follow medical advice and stay safe and healthy until this crisis passes. After all, what’s a few weeds compared to the wellbeing of our members.
