We have in the past seen trespassers break into the toilet, but even their efforts were surpassed by the individual who inflicted this damage to the lock.
Everyone can get caught short at sometime or other but this type of damage is unacceptable whatever the circumstances and will not be tolerated.
The handle mechanism will be repaired but not the lock, meaning that the door will not be secured even when the toilet is occupied.
In order to spare anyone’s blushes, in future please knock on the door before entering the toilet.
